6330 Combine Moisture Meter

The Sinar™ Combine Moisture Meter enables the combine driver to monitor the moisture content of the grain as it is being harvested and eliminates the need to stop to sample and test the crop.

Easily mounted in the grain tank and with results transmitted direct to the cab, the advanced design of the Sinar™ Combine Moisture Meter offers many advantages for time and cost saving. In the first instance, it allows the operator to determine when conditions are not suitable for combining.

6330 also makes it easier to determine the best place to store the grain after combining; the driver will have an accurate moisture reading enabling him to decide whether or not the grain needs drying. Furthermore it can be used in conjunction with a grain yield monitor.

The moisture sensor is housed in a flow regulator of 100mm diameter. The flow regulator is capped to isolate it from the effects of changes in packing density in the tank. Apertures are located on the sides and at the top of the regulator to allow the grain to enter. The Grain exits through the bottom of the regulator providing a single reading for each pass through.

To obtain an early measurement the optimum positioning of the sensor is as low down in the tank as possible and close to the region of the initial grain spill from the bubble auger. The value for the moisture content of the grain should be measured when the regulator is full. The regulator will clear as the grain tank is emptied and be ready to measure freshly harvested grain as it is augered in.
