GrainSpear is a practical solution for the determination of moisture and temperature in bulk foodstuffs at depths of up to 2 metres. It works simply by insertion. Readings are shown instantly without the need for sampling, weighing or grinding. Being microprocessor driven, it has the flexibility to handle a wide range of materials and moisture contents. The Sinar GrainSpear comes fully calibrated for 6 crops, and can easily be recalibrated for different commodities using simple keypad commands.

The GrainSpear is ideally suited for any environment where commodities and foodstuffs are being stored, handled and dried. It also serves as an excellent quick check at any intake point. Rather than taking samples to the office or laboratory to be analyzed, the GrainSpear can be inserted directly into the commodity on the incoming vehicle.

The on-board averager enables readings to be displayed individually whilst testing is in progress and the average of the total heap or load displayed at the end. Available with either a 1 metre or 2 metre shaft, GrainSpear offers a real practical solution for bulk measurement of moisture content.
